Friday, April 26th, 2013

Last week, Design Collaborative hosted its second in a series of forum events titled “Healthy Hospitals.” Facility directors, managers, and safety staff from area hospitals joined us in DC University for breakfast presentations that focused on the safety of both patients and staff. Speakers from the Copper Development Association in New York City came out to discuss the use of antimicrobial copper in controlling infections. The second presentation was from Wieland, a local healthcare furniture designer and manufacturer. Their presentation focused on the changing design of patient room furniture to help reduce injuries for nurses and patients.

Design Collaborative named as a ‘Best Place to Work’

Tuesday, February 26th, 2013

We just heard that DC was named as one of the Best Places to Work in Indiana for 2013! This is the third time we’ve received this honor which is based on results from an employer questionnaire and an employee satisfaction survey.

We’re not bragging but…we agree that DC is a great place to work. Not just because of events like go karting at lunch or ice cream parties sponsored by Terry’s late timesheet fund (Thanks Terry!), but also because everyone here works together toward our mission of improving people’s worlds.

DC Welcomes High School Intern, Neisha!

Friday, January 25th, 2013

In January, DC welcomed our new high school intern, Neisha Freshley. Neisha, a junior at Wayne-New Tech Academy, will assist the staff with various administrative and project needs while getting a unique glimpse into the life of an architect and engineer. Although she hasn’t made up her mind yet where she’d like to attend college, she’s hoping this experience will help narrow down a field of interest.

Fun fact about Neisha: She is PETRIFIED of spiders! Welcome to the team!
