DC Earns 3rd Place in YMCA Inner Tube Relay

Congrats to our YMCA Corporate Challenge Inner Tube Relay team: Craig Scully, Jamie Inskeep, Kelli Warner and Kelly Shields.  On Thursday, October 8th they earned THIRD PLACE honors out of 16 teams!

DC Volleyball Team Takes 3rd Place in YMCA Corporate Challenge

On Thursday, October 15th the Design Collaborative Volleyball team competed in the Final Four of the 2009 YMCA Corporate Challenge.  The team of Ron “Air” Dick, Kelly Cady, Katie Papagiannis, Jamie “The Ace” Inskeep, Misty James, Kelly Shields, and Ryan “Big Hands” Birkey finished 3rd tying them with our inner tube race team for the highest finish in this year’s Corporate Challenge.  Congrats to all.

DC Family & Friends Host Meri-Thon Fundraiser

On Saturday, October 17th, DC friends and volleyball nuts got together to raise funds to help DC associate Meri Everett in her battle with Leukemia.  An all-day volleyball tournament was held with the best of the best in Fort Wayne.  A total of $3,500 was raised for our friend Meri!  Congrats and great job, everyone!

DC Walks for Leukemia

On Sunday, September 27th, Design Collaborative put on its walking shoes to support our DC family and friends in a Light the Night Walk for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at Lutheran Hospital.  To date, Design Collaborative and friends have raised $6,500 to support lifesaving research for those battling Leukemia and Lymphoma disease.  Oh, and somehow we all ended up wearing the same thing…it was awkward, but we got through it!

Design Collaborative Adds Two New Associates

Design Collaborative has hired two new associates:  Kathy Boling, Receptionist, and Justin Vedder, Architectural Intern.  Fort Wayne native Kathy Boling has over thirty-two years of client service experience.  Justin Vedder holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture from Ball State University and a Master of Architecture Degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.  Justin recently passed the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) exam and is now a LEED® Accredited Professional.

DC Partner becomes Board President of Fort Wayne Sports Corporation

Craig Scully, Design Collaborative partner and mechanical engineer, is the new president of the Fort Wayne Sports Corporation.  Craig will begin his two year term at the helm of this organization in November 2009. 

Craig has also been asked to join the New Tech Advisory Board which will oversee the operation of the New Tech School at Wayne H.S., part of Fort Wayne Community Schools.  Craig was the Design Collaborative project manager for the recently opened first phase of the project at Wayne H.S.

DC Receives Award of Honor from Associated Builders and Contractors

On Wednesday, September 30th, the Indiana Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC) presented the 2009 Award of Honor to Design Collaborative for the Bethel College Student Housing project.  The student housing was built by Kaser-Spraker Construction of South Bend and was completed in October 2008.  The Design Collaborative Team was led by Kevin Scully, Greg Estes, Craig Scully, Katie Papagiannis, Brian Andrews, and Jamie Inskeep.
