DC Named Small Business of the Year by FW Chamber of Commerce

Design Collaborative is proud to be named the 2011 Small Business of the Year by the Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce. They were presented with the award by Gov. Mitch Daniels on Tuesday, November 15 at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting for their reputation for excellence in the business community, commitment to giving back to the Fort Wayne Community and a strong reputation as an employer of choice in the community.

To be considered for this award a business must have met the following criteria:

-Been in operation for at least five years
-Employ 50 or fewer full-time employees
-Must have contributed to the community, have a reputation for integrity and fair business practice and have examples of product or management innovation and successful problem-solving

DC also received the AIA Firm of the Year Award earlier this year and we couldn’t be more thrilled as we begin to celebrate our 20th anniversary in 2012.

Adam Central Community Schools holds Dedication Ceremony

Last Sunday, Superintendent Mike Pettibone spoke at the dedication ceremony for the Adams Central School renovation and addition completed in October by the design-build team of Design Collaborative and Weigand Construction. The $10 million project consisted of major renovations to the Four Star K-12 school located in Adams County, Indiana. Major features include a new middle school wing, secure entry and administrative addition, new “main street” corridor and an innovative media center. Adams Central also features a New Tech project-based learning curriculum. Design Collaborative is proud to be a part of this great project and learning community.
