On Saturday, April 17 the first annual “Plank-a-Palooza” was held at Parkview Field. This is a fund raiser-competition for the Early Childhood Alliance that requires teams to construct a “building” using small, wooden planks. The DC team, pictured below, included Ron and Adam Dick, Nick Knoblauch, and Kelli Warner and they were awarded the prize for the most creative entry. Nice work, DC! 8 teams competed and $7,000 was raised for our friends at ECA.
Design Collaborative was also represented Saturday at the annual Cookin’ Men event which is a fund raiser for the Parkview Health Foundation. At Cookin’ Men, your ticket allows you to enjoy extraordinary food and spirits prepared by nearly 80 local men who put on their chef hats that evening to support an excellent cause – the mobile mammography program, a partnership between Francine’s Friends and Parkview Hospital. DC was represented by Eric and Kim Sank, Bill and Ellen Ledger, and Mike and Linda Sullivan. They all reported the food was great!
