Design Collaborative Wins American Institute of Architects Fort Wayne Design Award

 
The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Fort Wayne Design Awards were held Thursday, December 8, 2016. Design Collaborative received the Citation Award for Interior Design for the design of the renovated AEP Regional Headquarters space in Fort Wayne.
The 100,000-square foot renovation is located in the Indiana Michigan Power Center, originally designed by renowned architect Kevin Roche. Spread over nine floors, the renovated space includes updated offices, collaborative and meeting spaces, café, lounge, lobby, and executive spaces.
The project team included: Ron Dick, Partner in Charge; Kelly Shields, Project Manager and Architect; Lauren Curvey, Interior Design; and Jason Baker, Mechanical Engineer.
The award winners were selected by a committee made up of AIA members from around the country. Design Collaborative was the only firm to receive an interior design award in the 2016 AIA Fort Wayne Design Awards.
